Gendai Reiki Training Workshops
I run Gendai Reiki workshops in central Durham. Please contact me if you are interested in undertaking this training. That way I can keep you informed as to when I will be running the next class.
There are four levels in Gendai Reiki. If you decided to learn level one there is no requirement for you to move beyond this level. Level one gives you the skills you need to be able to use Reiki in your everyday life and this may be all you are needing from it. Each person's Reiki journey is unique and some people are happy to stop at level one, whereas others may wish to progress to further levels. If you did want to take the level two class I would normally recommend giving yourself at least a three months gap from having undertaken the first one. This time gives you the chance to take in what you have learnt, absorb Reiki energy and to practice the principles and meditations.
Reiki Level One (Sho-den)
Level one gives you the ability to use Reiki and Reiki practices as a means of working towards greater well-being and health. Level one involves learning the history, philosophy and practices of Gendai Reiki. You will receive three three attunements. You will learn how to give yourself treatments as well as gain confidence in using Reiki on your friends and family.
Reiki Level 2 (Oku-den)
Level two builds on the training from Level one. There are a further three attunements which may enhance the flow of Reiki and deepen your awareness of it. It involves learning three symbols which give more versatility to your use of Reiki. You would learn how to send Reiki at a distance such as to an event in the past or future, or to a person who is not physically present. This level allows you to become a Reiki Practitioner and to perform Reiki on the general public. Again there is no requirement to progress beyond this level. However, I would recommend at least a year between this level and the next and that you have a regular practice of using Reiki, the meditations and working with the Reiki principles.
Reiki Level 3 (Shinpi-den)
This level focuses more on your own personal practice of Reiki. You would be attuned to the fourth and final symbol of Gendai Reiki. There would be no new techniques to learn. To take the next level it would be expected that you regularly practice Reiki, giving treatments to yourself and others, practice the meditations and be working with the Principles.
Level 4 (Gokukai-den)
This level give you the skills to become a Reiki Master, so that you can go on to attune and teach others. At this level you are making a commitment to the Reiki path and your spiritual development. At Level 4 you would learn what it means to be a Reiki Master and how to give attunements others.
